The Break Down...

I'm behind in my Blog...

After the 17 - 19 hour flight I was going on adrenaline and very active and ready to jump at everything...

With the time zone change and jet lag 24 - 48 hours later I've sort of crashed and now catching up on sleep...

The food... Hmmm... It's not the same Chinese food I eat in Canada that for sure!!!

What I've basically eaten has been a Canadian Breakfast ( Eggs, French Toast, Bacon, etc... ), Tuna Fish Sandwich, Pizza and anything else I can recognize... Reason being is that some of the stuff I've seen sort of turned me off food causing me to lose my appetit... Chinese do not waste anything... They eat everything... I like my meat but I'd like to know what's in it... I don't like to have the skin on it and everything underneath it before getting to the meat... Don't get me wrong I'd like to try real Chinese Food when when you look at the dish you see rice and you see beef or whatever meat you select but that unknown stuff that's mized in is very questionable...

I'll suck it up and give it a try before leaving Beijing to goto Shanghai...

For now I've lost weight but I have to now stop my daily diet of water, juice and coke... LOL!!!

The weather up here is like 35 degrees celcius and up but with the humidity it alot hotter...

Water!!!

The water from the tap is really undrinkable... Well you can drink it and the locals do but we've been told to drink bottled water... Also when buy water check the seal because some people sell bottled water that they filled up with tap water but I have yet to see that... Water can range from .25 cents to around $3.00 Canadian...

Our first bottle of water which was a Chinese Brand cost us about .50 Cents...

Well the aftertaste was nasty... The bottle was new but each certain brand of bottled Chinese Water is different... This was a turn off with that taste I cannot describe, it wasn't really that bad well then again... But when you are used to what you drink at home it can be kind of a turnoff... But we found a Chinese Brand water with no aftertaste and clean as well as water that costs .25 cents!!!

Having a great time out here...

It may sound a little negative but honestly it great fun!!!

I Love China!

More to come!!!

Take care everyone!!!

ho and you have to try the jellyfish! (if you can find how to translate the word in chinese :P) the strangest kind of crunchy, but so good!

As for the bad driving not causing accidents.. you've just been lucky not to see any! China has the world record for fatalities on the roads... tied with India...

Looks like your having a good time, I'm happy for you :)

It's been Chinese food from the hostels I've been eating... LOL!!! I can't handle the local food... There's an aftertaste that I can't figure out when first biting in... But I'm trying!!! LOL!!!

The things I've seen out here in the food markets is crazy and unbelieivable!!!

When crossing the street Chinese people don't even look, I have to look 360 degrees before crossing!

China is Da Bomb!

I've really opened up and talked to so many people and it is very cool!

Take care!
